With my critical faculties primed not to become over-excited at seeing full-scale opera for the first time in what seems an eternity, it’s still fair to write that Irish National Opera’s staging of Richard Strauss’s 1908 one-act opera Elektra for Kilkenny Arts Festival is an achievement of stunning magnificence.
