Opera Atelier has announced its 2019-20 season, which is entitled “A Season of Saints / A Season of Sinners.”

The company will kick off the year with a production of “Don Giovanni.” The Mozart work will star Douglas Williams, Carla Huhtanen, Colin Ainsworth, Meghan Lindsay, Stephen Hegedus, Olivier Laquerre, Mireille Asselin, and Gustav Andreassen.

“Our audience has made it clear they are longing for us to return to the Mozart production, which had its premiere in 2011,” stated Opera Atelier Founding Co-Artistic Director Marshall Pynkoski in a press release. “Mozart himself referred to ‘Don Giovanni’ as an opera buffa and it is in this spirit that we present our commedia dell’arte inspired production.”

Performance Dates: Oct. 31 – Nov. 9, 2019

Handel’s “The Resurrection” will be the second production of the season and will feature Isaiah Bell, Stephen Hegedus, Carla Huhtanen, Meghan Lindsay, and Allyson McHardy. The performance will take place at the Korener Hall in the Royal Conservatory.
