Festival Verdi Announces 2020 Season

The Festival Verdi has announced the 2020 operas.

The 2020 festival will celebrate 20 years and will show four operas in both Parma and Busseto.

The festival will open with Verdi’s early work “I Lombardi all Prima Crociata” at the Teatro Regio di Parma.

Performance Dates: Sept. 24- Oct. 7, 2020

Verdi’s ever popular “Rigoletto” will also get a new production at the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi di Busseto.

Performance Dates: Sept. 25-Oct. 18, 2020

The festival will also present Verdi’s “Macbeth” in its rarely-performed French version. Performances are set for the Chiesa di San Francesco del Prato.

Performance Dates: Sept. 26- Oct. 16, 2020

The final opera of the festival will be “Ernani,” presented in a concert performance at the Teatro Regio di Parma.

Performance Dates: Sept. 27-Oct. 1, 2020 

The festival is set to announce full casting on Feb. 6, 2020.
