Teatro De La Maestranza Announces 2020-21 Season

The Teatro de la Maestranza has announced its 2020-21 season featuring six operas, including a double bill (this article will be update as casts are announced).

The season is set to open with Mozart’s “Così Fan Tutte.”

Performance Dates: Nov. 3-7, 2020

The season will continue with Janáček’s masterpiece “Jenufa.”

Performance Dates: Dec. 8-12, 2020

Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera” will be the third opera to be showcased.

Performance Dates: Feb. 11-17, 2021

The company will showcase an intriguing double bill of Spanish operas. The operas to be presented will be Gerónimo Giménez’s “La Tempreanica” and Manuel de Falla’s “La Vida Breve.”

Performance Dates: March 18 & 19, 2021

The season will end with Bizet’s “Carmen,” one of the most popular operas in the repertoire.

Performance Dates: May 24 – June 5, 2021

The Teatro de la Maestranza is set to announce the casting for its productions in the coming weeks.
