Caramoor has announced a new summer season entitled Summer 20/2.0.

The festival, held in Westchester, announced that while it will not be able to present its originally planned schedule, it will perform responsibly in New York’s re-opening process.

The new, three-part plan will comprise of livestreamed on-site performances, live performances for low-density audiences on Friends Field, and opening up the gardens and sound art for limited tours.

In a press release, Caramoor CEO Jeff Haydon noted, “Caramoor’s purpose is to inspire a lifelong love of music in our beautiful setting.  Rather than cancel our summer season entirely, Caramoor’s Summer 20/2.0 provides ways we might still be able to offer opportunities to bring much-needed inspiration to our community.”

Caramoor will stream seven performances from the Music Room of the Rosen House featuring music by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Shirley Graham Du Bois, Christopher Cerrone, and Anna Clyne. Each streamed performance will be accompanied by additional content including talks with the artists and closer looks at the Westchester house and grounds. The programs will begin on July 2 and conclude on August 6.

There will also be four live, public, open-air concerts on Friends Field featuring genres as American Roots, mariachi, jazz and swing. Performances begin on July 18 and end on August 8.

Finally, there will be outdoor spaces open to the public, beginning in mid-July. The festival will also feature a variety of outdoor pop-up events.
