Deutsche Oper am Rhein Announces Drive-in Gala

The Deutsche Oper am Rhein has announced the first drive-in gala.

The German company announced that on June 19 at the Autokino Düsseldorf music director Axel Kober will conduct seven stars from the opera company, the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, and members of the choir of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.

The program will feature music from “Carmen,” “Il barbiere di Siviglia,” “La Traviata, ”and “Nabucco.”

Among the stars who will perform throughout the evening are Adela Zaharia, who will perform from “La Traviata;” Ramona Zaharia who will sing from “Carmen;” and Eduardo Aladrén and Bogdan Baciu, who will perform excerpts from “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.” Other performers will include Maria Kataeva, Elena Sancho Pereg, and Bogdan Taloş as well as the choir of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein who will perform Verdi’s “Va, pensiero.” The finale will include tenor Eduardo Aladrén performing the famous “Nessun dorma” from Puccini’s “Turandot.”

Tickets will be sold at 50 euros per car and will be valid for up to five people.
