The Teatro Massimo di Palermo has announced that Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov will perform in the company’s “Sotto una Nuova Luce” summer festival.

The two superstars will perform on August 12, 2020 and will showcase works by Verdi, Cilea, Dvořák, Giordano, and Bizet. Michelangelo Mazza will conduct the performance, which is scheduled to be held at the Teatro di Verdura.

This newly announced performance marks the latest Italian date for Netrebko and Eyvazov this summer as they will also perform at the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Arena di Verona, and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. The two will also perform at the Salzburg Festival and Grafenegg Festival.

The Teatro Massimo di Palermo’s summer edition opens on July 11 and will also feature Aleksandra Kurzak, Roberto Alagna, Carmen Giannattasio, René Barbera, and Chiara Amarù, among other performers.
