The Oper Frankfurt has announced that it will reopen on September 3, 2020 with the reduced auditorium capacity of 390 spectators allowed into the opera house.

The maximum seating capacity at the Oper Frankfurt is 1,375 seats.

Due to the state regulations, every other row can be occupied, and there must be two empty seats between neighboring visitors. Oper Frankfurt has also deployed a set of very stringent COVID-19 safety rules to include mandatory social distance of at least 1.5 meters, and mandatory face masks. Mouth and nose coverings can be taken off only when seated for the performance.

Oper Frankfurt will reopen with Bellini’s opera “I Puritani,” starring Brenda Rae as Elvira, Francesco Demuro as Lord Arturo Talbo, and Andrzej Filończyk in the role of Sir Riccardo. The cast will be rounded out by Thomas Faulkner, Kihwan Sim, Tianji Lin, Karolina Makuła, and Evie Poaros. The work will be shortened with no intermission.

Oksana Lyniv will conduct the production by Vincent Boussard.
