Rossini Opera Festival Announces Festival Streams

The Rossini Opera has announced streamings for its autumn Rossini Opera Festival.

The company announced that Nov. 25, 27 and 29 perofrmances of “Il barbiere di Siviglia” will be streamed via the company’s rossinioperafestival.it. The production by Pier Luigi Pizzi  will be conducted by Michele Spotti and star Juan Francisco Gatell (Count Almaviva), Carlo Lepore (Bartolo), Aya Wakizono (Rosina), Iurii Samoilov (Figaro), Michele Pertusi (Basilio), Elena Zilio (Berta) and William Corrò (Fiorello/Officer).

On Nov. 26 and 28, the festival will stream Emilio Sagi’s production of “Il viaggio a Reims.” Alessandro Cadario will conduct the production with a cast that will include Lara Lagni (Corinna), Nutsa Zakaidze and Marta Pluda (Marchesa Melibea), Patricia Calvache (Contessa di Folleville), Michela Guarrera (Madama Cortese), Francisco Brito (Cavalier Belfiore), Matteo Roma (Conte di Libenskof), Nicola Ciancio (Lord Sidney), Gianni Giuga and Askàr Lashkin (Don Profondo), Lorenzo Grante (Barone di Trombonok), Alberto Bonifazio (Don Alvaro), Alan Starovoitov (Don Prudenzio), Christian Collia (Don Luigino / Zefirino / Gelsomino), Ekaterina Sidorenko (Delia), Marta Pluda and Nutsa Zakaidze (Maddalena), Sophia Ernzkyan (Modestina), and Stefano Marchisio (Antonio).

All performances will be streamed on the Festival’s social networks including Facebook and YouTube, as well as on www.italiafestival.tv. The Nov. 25 performance of “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” will be broadcast on www.ansa.it.
