Anna Netrebko, Golda Schultz & Yusif Eyvazov Headline Salzburg Easter Festival’s Revamped Season

The Salzburg Easter Festival has modified its 2021 program.

The company announced that due to COVID-19 restrictions, a new program featuring artists originally announced would be presented.

The festival is set to open with a Choral Concert conducted by Christian Thielemann with Golda Schultz, Szilvia Vörös, Sebastian Kohlhepp, Alexander Tsymbalyuk, and the Bachchor Salzburg. The concert will feature music by Mozart.

Performance Date: April 2, 2021

The second concert of the festival will be an orchestral concert with Christian Thielemann conducting Denis Matsuev in music by Grieg and Beethoven.

Performance Date: April 3, 2021

Hilary Hahn headlines an orchestral concert conducted by Antonio Pappano. The concert will feature music by Mozart and Schumann.

Performance Date: April 4, 2021

The festival comes to an end with a Gala Concert featuring Anna Netrebko, Golda Schultz und Yusif Eyvazov. The concert will include excerpts from Puccini’s “Turandot.” They will be joined by the Staatskapelle Dresden under the baton of Christian Thielemann.
