The Teatro Digitale of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has announced growth in its audience and an extension of its online “I Puritani.”

The company revealed that over the past months its digital streaming channel has received over 130,000 views and as a result, the company has announced that it will extend its free stream of “I Puritani” from Feb. 14 to Feb 28. The opera stars Jessica Pratt and Lawrence Brownlee.

The channel was created after the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma was forced to close down due to the pandemic. Thus far the channel has streamed a mix of older productions and new concert programs created especially for its digital audience.

The next digital concert will be on Feb. 25 entitled Opera al MAXXI, a concert dedicated to Stravinsky. The company will also present a new production of “La Traviata” created for RAI 3 that will star Lisette Oropesa.
