Jonas Kaufmann is set to perform a concert at the Houston Grand Opera on Oct. 6, 2021.

“An Evening with Jonas Kaufmann” will feature the famed tenor in performance alongside the Houston Grand Opera Orchestra under the baton of Music Director Patrick Summers. The program will be announced at a later date, though per the company’s official website, there will be a sampling of music by Wagner, among other repertory staples.

“Not only are we thrilled about the opportunity to host one of most versatile tenors in the world, but this will also be an evening of celebration as we return to live performances at the Wortham,” Summers said in a press release. “The arts community has been impacted immensely the past year, and we are so honored to open our 2021-22 season with such an incredibly celebrated artist.”

The concert will be followed by gala dinner.
