Opera Holland Park Announces 2022 Season

Opera Holland Park in the U.K. has announced its 2022 season.

The company announced that it will open on May 31, 2022 with new productions of “Eugene Onegin” and “Carmen” before presenting the UK premiere of Mark Adamo’s 1998 opera, “Little Women,” adapted from Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel.

The fourth production of the season will be a double bill of Delius’s verismo opera “Margot la Rouge” with Puccini’s early work “Le villi.” The season will conclude with Gilbert and Sullivan’s “H.M.S. Pinafore,” a co-production with Charles Court Opera.

The City of London Sinfonia will return as the resident orchestra for all five productions and the 2022 Young Artists production will be of “Eugene Onegin.” The Opera in Song, a recital series will continue in 2022 and will be curated in partnership with Julien Van Mellaerts and Dylan Perez.

Casting and further details will be announced in the autumn.
