J’Nai Bridges, Rihab Chaieb, Andriana Chuchman, Mario Chang, Jennifer Rowley Headline Palm Beach Opera’s 2022 Season

Florida-based Palm Beach Opera has announced its 2022 season. 

It all kicks off with “Dido and Aeneas” in an outdoor performance. The work will be conducted by Gregory Ritchey. 

Performance Date: Dec. 11, 2021

The first production of the year will be “Carmen” with J’Nai Bridges and Rihab Chaieb sharing the title role. Jonathan Burton and Migran Agadzhanyan will share the role of Don José while Anatoli Sivko will appear as Escamillo. Amanda Woodbury will take on Micaëla. 

Antonello Allemandi will conduct a production by Garnett Bruce. 

Performance Dates: Jan. 28 – 30, 2022

Next up will be “The Elixir of Love” starring Andriana Chuchman and Mario Chang. Other cast members include Alexey Lavrov and Musa Ngqungwana. Fenlon Lamb directs with David Stern conducting. 

Performance Dates: Feb. 25-27, 2022

The season comes to a close with “The Merry Widow” starring Jennifer Rowley in her role debut as Hanna with Andrew Manea as Danilo. The opera will also star Elizabeth Sutphen, Duke Kim, and Dwayne Croft. Helena Binder directs while Ward Stare makes his company debut in the pit.

Performance Dates: March 25-27, 2022
