Polish National Opera Reduces Capacity

The Polish National Opera has announced that it will be limiting its seating capacity.

In an official statement the company noted, “In line with the latest government restrictions issued on Dec. 15 and 16, we must reduce audience capacity from 50 percent to 30 percent. The limit does not apply holders of valid COVID certificates. Because we are determined to welcome as many persons to our performances as possible, we are offering special tickets for COVID certificate holders.”

The company added, “the 30 percent capacity limit does not apply to persons who will present one of the four documents when entering the opera house: EU digital COVID certificate, proof of COVID vaccination, and proof of negative COVID test showing that you have taken a NAAT or rapid antigen test included on the common and updated list of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests that are considered appropriate for use based on Council Recommendation of Jan. 20 2021, conducted by trained healthcare personnel or other trained operators in the Member State that issued the certificate. The certificate has to state the kind of test used, its date, and result. The test is valid for 24 hours.”

Audience members who fail to present one of the above documents on their arrival to the opera house will not be admitted to the event and will be unable to claim a refund.
